ADOPT A FAMILYAdopt A Family is a program administered by PeaceLife Inc. (Registered No: A0032829W incorporated in the State of Victoria, Australia.)All those who can remember, after the Second World War many rich nations have been giving aid to the poor Nations. There have also been numerous Charitable Organisations doing excellent service to the needy humanity. However, the poor have always remained poor. We do not want to involve in lengthy debates. We have identified one of the many reasons for the problem and how we can change this condition. Adopt A Family. We too can do something. And that is Adopt A Family. How does this work? In a new Country like East Timor or war torn Sierra Leone or in any poor Countries there is hardly any job. Therefore most of them are farmers or tradesmen with little or no cash income. If we send food to a family we are doing a noble act. But it affects only one family. Likewise if we send clothes or medicine it again affects one family. What happens if we send money to widows, poor farmers toiling in small plots of lands or any other low paid workers living in absolute poverty? They will use this money to: · Buy food – from a local vendor · Buy medicine – from a local vendor · Buy clothes – from a local vendor · Buy all their needs – from a local vendor What will these vendors do with the proceeds of the businesses? They will use this money to: · Buy food – from a local vendor · Buy medicine – from a local vendor · Buy clothes – from a local vendor · Buy all their needs – from a local vendor As you can see the money, circulating among the community, will definitely create economic activity and hence create/sustain employment and welfare of the community. This is the Basic Benefit of the project Adopt A Family. However, we have identified 9 Benefits from this Adopt A Family Project We explain our vision with an example, which is our initial target, too. Initially, we want to assist 10,000 families with the equivalent US$5 (AS$10, £4) per month. We send US$5 per month to 10,000 low or no income families in a local area of a poor country. The Local Currency (LC) equivalent is US$5= LC500. To donate and to find out what the 9 benefits are, click below. |
